What you came here wondering

Concern 01

Are my under-eye circles from filler, sleep, or pigmentation?

Filler problems show up as hollows that catch shadow. Sleep problems show up as puffiness that varies day to day. Pigmentation shows up as colour. Each needs different treatment.

Concern 02

Will under-eye filler last? And what about the migration stories I’ve heard?

Properly placed under-eye filler lasts 9–18 months and doesn’t migrate. The horror stories online almost always involve wrong product, wrong plane, or way too much volume in one session.

Concern 03

Is there anything non-injectable for under-eye concerns?

For pigmentation: pico laser. For fine lines: anti-wrinkle injection (crow’s feet) and polynucleotide. For puffiness from fluid: lifestyle changes work better than any procedure.

Why Vincere

Why Vincere for under-eye treatment

Under-eye treatment punishes shortcuts. The wrong product, wrong depth, or wrong indication can leave you with results that take months or years to undo.

01
AMI
Faculty trainer & mentor

Dr Vincent trains other physicians in advanced injection technique as faculty of the Allergan Medical Institute. Under-eye work demands the highest precision.

02
Cannula
Micro-cannula technique

Cannula-based placement reduces vascular risk and bruising in this delicate area. We use the smallest gauge cannula appropriate for the indication.

03
Honest
About what filler can’t fix

Some under-eye concerns aren’t filler problems. We’ll tell you when filler isn’t the right answer — even though it’s the most common request.

There is no single “best” treatment for under-eye bags in Singapore, because they have several different causes. True bags from fat herniation are best addressed surgically (lower lid surgery) — not something we offer at Vincere. Hollowing that creates the appearance of bags responds well to under-eye filler. Pigmentation responds to pico laser. Fine lines respond to anti-wrinkle injection. The right answer depends on what’s actually causing your concern.
Most patients describe under-eye filler as mild pressure, not pain — we apply topical numbing first and use micro-cannula technique to minimise discomfort and reduce bruising risk. Some bruising is still possible because of how vascular this area is; mild bruising clears within 5–7 days. Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, alcohol) for 48 hours before treatment to reduce bruising risk.
Properly placed under-eye filler with a high-quality hyaluronic acid product lasts 12–18 months. The under-eye area metabolises filler slower than the lips or cheeks, so longevity is generally good. We typically schedule a top-up at 12 months rather than waiting for full disappearance.
Most under-eye filler problems trace back to either: wrong product (using a thick filler designed for cheeks instead of a softer eye-area product), wrong plane (placing too superficially, causing the Tyndall effect or visible blue tint), or too much volume in one session. We use a soft, low-G′ hyaluronic acid product, place it deep against bone using cannula technique, and treat conservatively across multiple sessions if needed. If something does go wrong, hyaluronic acid filler is reversible with hyaluronidase — a safety feature worth having.
It depends on what’s causing them. Shadowing from volume loss responds well — the hollow that catches the shadow is filled, the shadow disappears. True pigmentation under the eyes (which looks brown rather than blue/purple) needs pigment treatment instead. Vascular dark circles (visible underlying veins) are the hardest to address — some improvement is possible but complete clearance is rarely realistic.
Most patients return to normal activities the same day. Mild swelling for 24–48 hours is common. Possible bruising for 5–7 days — this can be covered with concealer. Avoid intense exercise and alcohol for 24 hours after treatment. The final result settles at 2–3 weeks as any swelling resolves and the filler integrates.
