Pico Laser

Pico Laser

Pigmentation

Pico Laser is a non-ablative laser that works in “pico-seconds” (one thrillionth of a second!), hence the name.

When the laser light is being absorbed by the pigmented lesions, the light will vibrate, fragmenting the particles into really thin “dust”. The melanin and pigment particles are broken down in pico-seconds. This extreme speed in turn means that the skin takes a lesser time to heat up, thus reducing the risk of hyper-pigmentation. The Laser pulses generate a pure photoacoustic effect which targets the pigments without affecting the surrounding tissues.

Pico laser is a non-surgical and versatile laser skin treatment that addresses the majority of common skin imperfections such as uneven skin tone, acne scars and pigmentation.

WHO IS IT FOR?

As the Pico Laser utilizes non-thermal laser energy to target specific skin cells instead of penetrating the skin’s surface, the procedure itself is safe to administer for all skin types. This treatment is applicable to other parts of the body and face as well.

ARE THERE ANY PICO LASER SIDE EFFECTS?

The Pico Laser is a non-invasive treatment that prides itself in offering minimal discomfort during its process and aftermath. Most patients have described the procedure as almost no pain, only most likely feel a tiny mild prickling sensation due to the pressure waves in your skin cells caused by the Pico Laser.

WHAT IS THE PICO LASER DOWNTIME?

There is minimal downtime and you may experience no discomfort at all or slight redness in the treated areas which will clear up within 1-2 days.
